PLACES YOU SHOULD VISIT:

BERAT is one of the country's most beautiful towns. It was preserved as a museum city
by communist government. Berat's most impressive feature is the collection of traditional
Ottoman houses. These houses, climbing up the hill to the castle, earn Berat the title
"town of a thousand windows". Its rugged mountain setting is archetypically Albanian, and
particularly evocative when the clouds swirl around the tops of the minarets and battlements.
*Berat often suffers from power cuts in the winter. However, widely used generators produce enough power. Although the Osum River that divides the city is really dirty, the streets are free of the rubbish. Several ATMs and internet cafes are available on the main strip.

TIRANA is a lively, colorful city that changed beyond belief in the last decade. It's streets got totally new look. Tirana has changed from the dull, grey city into beautiful, colorful one. The ugly tower blocks were covered with a fantastic layer of orange and red stripes. The city has many bars and clubs which are pretty cheap. It won't cost you a lot to spend a great night having fun in these clubs. The city's boulevards are full of relics from Ottoman, Italian and Communistic past. You can see all kind of relics, from delicate minarets to social murals,  guarded by soldiers equipped with automatic weapon. Many ATMs and inns can be found all around Tirana.

*Loud, beautiful, colorful, dirty - Tirana is waiting for you.
